At 11:38 on Sunday, 23 August, 2020, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Animal Rescue in Ellesmere .

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Ellesmere. An Operations officer was in attendance.

This incident involved a cow in the canal which self extricated.
