At 18:53 on Sunday, 7 November, 2021, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Oswestry.

3 fire appliances were mobilised from Ellesmere and Oswestry. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet

1 large out of control bonfire extinguished using 2 hosereel jets. Assistance from North Wales' Chirk appliance.
