At 15:53 on Wednesday, 5 January, 2022, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting that a Road Traffic Collision had taken place in Newport.

2 fire appliances including the Rescue Tender were mobilised from Albrighton and Newport. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to deal with the incident:

• Covering jet
• Hosereel jet
• Small gear

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Land Ambulance Service and the Police.

RTC with Lorry and Bus reported. 2 cars only on arrival and made safe. 1 casualty left in care of ambulance.
