At 01:29 on Sunday, 3 July, 2022, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as Water Rescue in Shrewsbury.

2 fire appliances including the Water Rescue Unit were mobilised from Baschurch and Shrewsbury. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Land Ambulance Service and the Police.

One person rescued from water prior to fire service arrival and now in care of ambulance service
