At 17:22 on Wednesday, 15 March, 2023, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as House Fire in Whitchurch.

3 fire appliances were mobilised from Ellesmere, Wem and Whitchurch. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Breathing Apparatus (BA)
• Covering jet
• Hosereel jet
• Thermal imaging camera

Fire in flat caused by unattended cooking. Fire extinguished using a hosereel jet and covering jet.
