At 10:46 on Sunday, 9 April, 2023, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Chimney Fire in Shrewsbury.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Shrewsbury.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• 9/10.5m ladder
• Chimney rods
• Hosereel jet
• Thermal imaging camera

This incident involved a chimney fire involving a rayburn. Crews extinguished using 1 extended hose reel jet, chimney gear and thermal imaging camera.
