At 21:16 on Sunday, 18 June, 2023, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Rubbish Fire in Oswestry.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Ellesmere and Oswestry.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet
• Rakes, shovels, mathooks
• Thermal imaging camera

Fire involving household rubbish extinguished using one hose reel jet, drag rakes and thermal image camera
