At 01:14 on Tuesday, 11 July, 2023, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as AFA in Telford.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Telford Central and Tweedale. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews were called to reports of a building fire following a smell of burning and an alarm activating within the premises. Crews attended and carried out a full search of the building but nothing was found. This was believed to be a false alarm caused by fire alarms activating for an unknown reason.
