At 18:04 on Saturday, 15 July, 2023, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as SSC Urgent in Oswestry.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Oswestry and Shrewsbury. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Line rescue

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Land Ambulance Service and the Police.

This incident involved one person who had slipped down bank into shallow water. Crews used line rescue to assist casualty back up the bank and left in the care of the ambulance service.
