At 09:23 on Tuesday, 8 August, 2023, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire in Market Drayton .

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Hodnet and Prees. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet
• Rakes, shovels, mathooks

One refuse lorry with small fire in rear collection compartment. Crews used one hose reel jet and drag rakes to extinguish.
