At 14:48 on Friday, 11 August, 2023, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Field Of Straw in Shrewsbury.

2 fire appliances including the Incident Support Unit were mobilised from Shrewsbury. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet

Fire involving a large area of stubble and straw that has been extinguished by Fire Service Personnel.
