At 13:58 on Wednesday, 16 August, 2023, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Field Of Straw in Shrewsbury .

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Shrewsbury and Wellington. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Thermal imaging camera

Incident involving one baler which was out on arrival of crews. Field measuring approximately 50 meters X 25 meters also involved.
