At 13:38 on Saturday, 25 November, 2023, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Chimney Fire in Pontesford, Pontesbury.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Minsterley and Shrewsbury. A Safety officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Chimney rods
• Electric Saws/Cutters
• Line rescue
• Roof ladder
• Short extension ladder
• Small gear
• Stirrup pump
• Thermal imaging camera
