At 19:26 on Thursday, 21 December, 2023, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Smell Of Smoke in Whitchurch.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Whitchurch.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Thermal imaging camera

Reports of smell of smoke coming from property. This incident was a false alarm. Crews carried out full inspection of property with no signs of smoke or fire. 1 smoke detector installed by crews.
