At 01:43 on Friday, 5 January, 2024, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as AFA in Darwin Shopping Centre, Shrewsbury .

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Telford Central and Wem.

Call to AFA which was found to be a false alarm due to a system fault.
