Shropshire Fire Control are currently receiving a high volume of calls to flood related incidents in South Shropshire. If you are affected, the advice is: * To obtain sandbags from the local council. * To isolate electrics. * Move valuables, food and drink as high as practically possible. * Move occupants and animals upstairs or to a place of safety. * Never attempt to drive or walk through flood water. * If there is a risk to life call 999 immediately.

Do not attempt to drive through flooded roads or fords and do not attempt to walk through flooded areas. Children should not be allowed to play in flood water, due to contamination. Keep an eye on weather reports on local television or radio channels and look after your neighbours.
