At 15:37 on Wednesday, 10 April, 2024, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Chimney Fire.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Ellesmere.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Buckets of water
• Chimney rods
• Stirrup pump
• Thermal imaging camera

Fire in chimney breast of coal fire. Crews extinguished using a stirrup pump, buckets of water and chimney rods. A thermal imaging camera has been used to check the temperature within the chimney breast to ensure safe temperatures.
