At 19:49 on Thursday, 18 April, 2024, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Chimney Fire in Ellesmere.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Ellesmere.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Chimney rods
• Small gear
• Stirrup pump
• Thermal imaging camera

Fire in chimney which has been extinguished by fire crews using a stirrup pump and chimney rods and gear. Temperatures have also been checked in the loft space of the property using a thermal imaging camera.
