Fire In Open

At 12:56 on Wednesday, 12 June, 2024, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Knighton.

3 fire appliances including the Pinzgauer were mobilised from Clun. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Beaters
• Knapsacks

Fire has involved 5 separate seats of fire on a Hillside which has now been extinguished by Fire Crews. Fire Service Drone has been deployed to check the area for any further fire spread.
