At 20:48 on Friday, 9 August, 2024, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as House Fire in King Street, Shrewsbury .

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Shrewsbury.

Report of smoke from roof of house. The incident was found to be a false alarm caused by passerby hearing smoke alarm actuating. Premises checked by fire crew and found no sign of any smoke or fire.
