At 10:10 on Wednesday, 28 August, 2024, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as LGV Fire in Shrewsbury.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Shrewsbury. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Breathing Apparatus (BA)
• Hosereel jet
• Rakes, shovels, mathooks

Fire involving plastic waste in refuse vehicle.
