At 23:57 on Monday, 2 September, 2024, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Electricity Cable in Telford.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Wellington.

Also at the scene of the incident were: a utility company.

Incident involves 11,000 voltage power line which had snapped causing a small fire in hedgerow which has self extinguished. Crews cordoned off area until Western Power arrived. High voltage cables have now been isolated by Western Power at the local substation.
