At 19:39 on Friday, 6 December, 2024, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Shrewsbury.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Minsterley.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet
• Thermal imaging camera

One skip containing building materials and rubbish on fire. Crews extinguished the fire using one hosereel jet and then used a thermal imaging camera to check for any remaining hot spots.
