At 16:50 on Saturday, 7 December, 2024, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting that a Road Traffic Collision had taken place in Shrewsbury.

2 fire appliances including the Rescue Tender were mobilised from Wellington and Wem.

Crews used the following equipment to deal with the incident:

• Dry powder extinguisher

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Police.

Fallen tree which has hit a vehicle and damaged power cables. Crews conducted traffic management and extinguished car affected by fire using extinguisher. Crews have left incident in care of police for road closure and Scottish Power notified of power cables and requested to attend as soon as possible.
