At 17:39 on Saturday, 7 December, 2024, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Ludlow.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Ludlow.

Report of electricity pole sparking. This appeared to be a false alarm. Crews carried out thorough investigation of area on foot inspecting power lines and piles within proximity of reported location and confirmed all power lines were free from obstructions and with no obvious signs of cable arcing.
