At 23:33 on Saturday, 7 December, 2024, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting that a Road Traffic Collision had taken place in Hodnet.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Hodnet.

Crews used the following equipment to deal with the incident:

• Electric Saws/Cutters
• Small gear

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Police.

Report of tree which had fallen onto moving vehicle. No persons were trapped in this incident and crews used a reciprocating saw to remove tree away from vehicle and road with assistance of Police. Vehicle has been made electrically safe by crews using small gear. Road has been cleared and is open in both directions.
