At 14:35 on Saturday, 25 January, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Smoke In Area in Shrewsbury.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Shrewsbury.

Reports of large amount of smoke in the area. After investigations of crews this was established as a controlled burn. No action required by fire service personnel.
