At 00:15 on Sunday, 16 February, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Property Fire in Montgomery.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Bishops Castle. An Operations officer was in attendance.

This incident was found to be a false alarm due to burnt cooking.
