At 12:44 on Friday, 14 March, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Smoke In Area in Shrewsbury.

2 fire appliances including the Rescue Tender were mobilised from Wellington.

This incident was a false alarm good intent. Crews carried out a thorough search of the area with nothing found.
