At 17:18 on Friday, 4 April, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Ellesmere.

3 fire appliances including the Incident Support Unit were mobilised from Baschurch, Ellesmere, Market Drayton, Wem and Whitchurch. An Operations officer was in attendance.
