At 20:30 on Friday, 11 April, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Church Stretton.

2 fire appliances including the Incident Support Unit were mobilised from Church Stretton.

This incient was reported as a fire in the open - upon investigation this was found to be persons having a bbq which have been extinguished and advice given.
