At 13:29 on Tuesday, 29 April, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Market Drayton.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Hodnet and Market Drayton. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Fire in the open involving 60 by 60 metres of waste grassland. Fire crews used 2 hose reel jets, beaters, rakes and thermal image camera.
