At 09:40 on Thursday, 1 May, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Birdgnorth.

2 fire appliances including the Incident Support Unit were mobilised from Bridgnorth.

Reports of grass alight. On investigation from crews this was found to be 2 unattended tree stumps alight. Crews utilised the fogging unit from the incident support unit to extinguish.
