At 10:39 on Friday, 2 May, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as AFA in Shrewsbury.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Shrewsbury. An Operations officer was in attendance.

This incident was a false alarm caused by a fault on the detector system.
