At 18:44 on Saturday, 3 May, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Shrewsbury.

2 fire appliances including the Incident Support Unit were mobilised from Newport and Shrewsbury.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Buckets of water
• Hosereel jet
• Knapsacks

Small fire caused by disposable BBQ. Crews assisted by the Incident Support Unit from Newport.
