At 14:40 on Friday, 16 May, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Bishops Castle.

3 fire appliances were mobilised from Bishops Castle, Clun and Minsterley. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Incident involved 1 small field approximately 10m by 20m with stubble smouldering. Fire crews are damping down and turning over. Fire crews used 2 hose reel jets and drag rakes
