At 12:44 on Wednesday, 21 May, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as AFA in Oswestry.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Ellesmere and Oswestry.

This incident was a false alarm due to an aerosol can being sprayed near a smoke detector. Advice has been given to on site staff.
