At 15:18 on Friday, 23 May, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Shifnal.

3 fire appliances were mobilised from Albrighton, Telford and Wellington. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet

Fire involving the grass verge which had spread to farmers field. Two hose reel jets used to extinguish fire.
