At 20:48 on Friday, 23 May, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Wem.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Prees and Wem. A Fire Investigation officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Breathing Apparatus (BA)
• Hosereel jet
• Main jet
• Thermal imaging camera

Fire involving 3 garden sheds, fence and tree
