At 16:36 on Sunday, 25 May, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Shrewsbury.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Oswestry and Shrewsbury.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Knapsacks
• Rakes, shovels, mathooks

Small campfire extinguished using knapsack sprayer and rakes
