At 19:26 on Wednesday, 11 June, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as Animal Rescue in Shrewsbury.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Shrewsbury.

Small bird trapped in external flue pipe which proved to be a false alarm. Fire crews made full investigation using thermal image camera, small extension ladder and small gear.
