At 11:32 on Sunday, 29 June, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Wellington.

2 fire appliances including the Incident Support Unit were mobilised from Tweedale and Wellington.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet
• Rakes, shovels, mathooks

Small area of wood and undergrowth smouldering at an abandoned camp fire.
