At 16:45 on Monday, 30 June, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Market Drayton.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Newport.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet
• Thermal imaging camera

Crews extinguished 20 meters of hedgerow using 2 hose reel jets and checking for hot spots using a thermal imaging camera.
