At 11:43 on Saturday, 12 July, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open.

2 fire appliances including the Incident Support Unit were mobilised from Church Stretton and Minsterley.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet
• Rakes, shovels, mathooks
• Thermal imaging camera

This incident involved an unattended bonfire, approximately 6 square metres. Crews extinguished the fire using one hose reel jet, and drag rakes.
