At 10:00 on Sunday, 20 July, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Property Fire in Oswestry.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Ellesmere and Oswestry. An Operations officer was in attendance.

This incident involved cardboard on cooker hob. The fire was out on arrival. Advice given to occupier, and electrics isolated awaiting checks by qualified electrician.
