At 09:17 on Monday, 28 July, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting that a Road Traffic Collision had taken place in Church Stretton.

4 fire appliances were mobilised from Shrewsbury and Wellington. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Reports of a vehicle overturned on embankment with persons trapped. On arrival of crews, this was discovered to be a false alarm with no persons trapped, alarm caused by previous road traffic collision which police were already aware of. No action required by fire crews.
