At 19:23 on Wednesday, 30 July, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Claverley.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Albrighton and Bridgnorth.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet

50m x 20m of grass alight, believed to have spread from a nearby bonfire.
