At 08:35 on Saturday, 2 August, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Shrewsbury.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Shrewsbury.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet
• Knapsacks

Hedge and grass on fire which crews extinguished using a hosereel jet and a knapsack.
