At 13:54 on Saturday, 2 August, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Railway Embankment in Bridgnorth.

3 fire appliances including the Incident Support Unit were mobilised from Bridgnorth, Much Wenlock and Telford Central. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet

Numerous seats of fire between Eardington and Eardington Station near the Severn Valley Railway line. Crews are using hose reel jets and fogging units to extinguish the fire.
