At 07:58 on Wednesday, 20 August, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as House Fire in Oswestry.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Baschurch and Ellesmere. An Operations officer was in attendance.

This incident was a false alarm. Occupier stated small amount of smoke coming from tumble dryer. No smoke visible on arrival of crews.
